What are the Townships hours?
Our hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM .
When do the Trustees meet?
The Trustees typically meet on the 1st Monday of the month at 6:00 PM.
When does the Zoning Commission meet?
The Zoning Commission meets on an as needed basis on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM.
When does the Board of Zoning Appeals meet?
The Board of Zoning Appeals meets on an as needed basis once a month on the 3rd Thursday at 5:30 PM.
Does the Township have recycling?
Yes. We have dumpsters at two locations, the Township Service Department, 2401 Old S.R. 32 and the Township Community Center Building at 1539 Clough Pike
When are the Township's Clean-up days?
Township Clean Up Days are held in June, please check the calendar of events for specific days.
Does the Township provide garbage pick up service?
No. You must contract with a private company such as CSI or Rumpke.
Is the Batavia Township Community Center available for public use?
Yes. We require that you fill out an application with the Administrators office and that you must be a resident or a business owner in the Township.
Who decides to salt our streets?
The Township Service Director, Ken Embry, monitors the road conditions when snow begins to accumulate on the pavement surface. He will then determine the call out needs by checking radar images and the latest forecast. Our trucks are on the road within 15 to 30 minutes of being called out.
Who plows my street?
We maintain only the roads that are under the jurisdiction of the Township. The Clermont County Engineers Office maintains all county roadways and the Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state roads and federal highways.
**If you are in a new subdivision your street may not be dedicated, if this is the case, your street will not be salted or plowed by the Township. However, you may need to contact your developer who is responsible for maintaining the streets within your new neighborhood.**

Who can sell door to door?
The Trustees passed a resolution that prohibits door to door sales in the Township.
Is there a noise ordinance?
Yes, the Township passed a resolution in July of 2000 to control noise in the operation of radios or other sound generating devices or on vehicles.
**This is enforced by the Clermont County Sheriffs Office.
Is there a barking dog ordinance?
Yes, a resolution was passed January of 1998 stating that no person shall harbor or keep any dog that, by loud and frequent habitual barking, howling, or yelping, shall cause annoyance or disturbance to the neighborhood. **This is enforced by the Clermont County Sheriffs Office.
What is the population of Batavia Township?
As of the 2010 Census the population is 23,000+ per 42 sq. miles.
