The Batavia Township Board of Trustees recently entered into a franchise agreement with Republic Services for waste and recycling pickup in Batavia Township. This agreement covers all residential users and begins on Monday October 1st, 2018. Republic will notify you at a later date as to what day your trash and recycling will be picked up and also when wheeled carts will be delivered to your residence.

The Trustees put this issue out for public bid in an effort to increase services and lower cost. The bid included waste pickup, recycling, large item pickup and once a year unlimited pickup all right at your driveway. The bid includes set hours of operation (6am to 6pm), no fuel charges or administrative fees. Republic was the lowest and best bid and they propose a semi-automated process which is much quicker, quieter and will lead to fewer trucks on the road. The date of the annual one time pickup, where items can be placed at the curb will be set later by the Trustees and you will be notified.

Please see the ATTACHED FLYER which better explains the services.

We are confident that Republic Services will be able to provide a quality service to the residents of the Township. However, we know there will be a transition period which may be discerning to some however we ask for your patience during this time
